They all just need to make so much more of themselves
None of these games, you all need to fix yourselves
Well we all do, and we know that that's the hard part
How could I feel fine in the midst of falling apart?

How can I see the light when I'm still trapped in the dark?
Why can't we see these things clearer and go back to the start?
These matters aren't just logical, they come straight from the heart
It's not even enough to begin to discuss it through our art

Pages can be written of the travesties seen
Without blind eyes, it's all just so fuckin obscene
That those who break their backs for work are left out here dying
And are the subjects of those who keep on taking and prying
Their livlihoods, welfare, or even a check
Spending hours to work and not even making a spec
Of what those at the top are all currently cashing in
Why must this world be so full of selfishness and all this sin?

Is tainted and painted and wasted as it is twirled
Skyscrapers only make up for the shelter they bring
While the damage they cause make these structures only things

Now back to the workers, man, some have families
While others have no money and nobody to pay the lease
They don't even work and they depend on their benefits
Still waiting to cash a check because they can't fuckin work for it

Been feeling like an alien, well that's cause I am one
Been distant on this empty space for so very long

All these voices just keep telling me that I am almost gone

I can't keep living anymore
But I also can't leave here anymore

People talk like they have no life
